Is ADHD Real?

by Michael Reeder on January 17, 2013

I just added a new article here entitled:

Is ADHD Real?

I get this question all the time.  The truth is that everyone can find great arguments for whatever their preconceived notion is.  Those who thinks its a fake psychiatry conspiracy can point out — correctly — all the nutritional, exercise, and lifestyle components involved in the recent explosion of this disorder.  Those who believe in its medical reality have genetic evidence, brain scans, possible B12 deficiency, and examples of patients for whom no mere lifestyle change suffices.

I mostly don’t care about the ADHD label — I care about the symptoms and getting rid of them.

In my article I outline a few ideas for starting this process.  I work with lots of ADHD adults and we have a bunch of tools to try out together.
